Houston Computer Museum's Mobile Museum
Young people's fascination with science and engineering does not always start with yet another electronic gadget that appears on the consumer market. Behind every scientific and engineering work, there is the curiosity of the researchers, designers, and developers, there is the fascination with the technological and scientific heritage, stimulating challenges and intellectually rewarding solutions and discoveries. All that can motivate and inspire our young to achieve the level of professional expertise that would allow them to follow in the foot steps of past pioneers in the computer science and engineering fields. We hope by taking a part of the museum's collection and oral history on the road to schools all over the community that we can inspire some of these future technology pioneers.
We are currently seeking funding to complete the ComputerhistorymobileTM for use during the up coming 2008 (Fall) school year. The museum will be getting some in-kind help from Mens Wearhouse but needs additional funding to complete the project. Contact us at donations@houstoncomputermuseum.org.
