The "Unique Computer Museum"

As it stands, there are a number of museum in the city of Houston. In a number of ways, these museums are never computer related. They just give displays of the history of such plant life and animals that walked the face of this earth over the pat millennia. One can also find the various equipment used in the olden days. Instruments such as scientific ones, military equipment (even uniforms), and other manufacturing equipment usually are preserved fro purpose of memory.

Other preservations include pieces from people who were famous for painting and making sculptures. In all this not so much concern is given to the inventions that were made in the information technology age. These inventions have been seen to walk unseen through time, yet they are one of the most important inventions that the world sees today.

Houston's Computer Museum has realized the importance of these inventions and displays in an exquisite collection of such instruments that have been used it the past in the computer technology. These equipment dates up to 3000 BC, a surprising figure to most of the viewers in this area. The computer dates back to this age due to the fact that instruments of analysis were used way before the invention of electricity, contrary to the thinking of many people.

What the Museum Offers

The museum has a workforce of 2 employees, who run the day to day activities of the company, making sure that anyone who visits the place has a welcoming feel as he views the items on display. As one walks round the room of display, he will notice the different vintage computers that are included. Such computers that date back to the 1st generation of computers are present in the museum. These surprise a lot of the viewers. There should also be a display of such generations of video games that have been famous in the past, which have currently been revolutionized to the 3D play stations that are in the market. Calculators and other ephemera items are also on display. These make the museum one like no other, and thus matching up to none. The items on display total to 3000 as per the present time.

Why it chose the Computer

The company realized the gap that the museum organizations presented in the market. The mission of the group therefore became the preservation of the story of the information and technology age. It has over the last seven years worked faithfully on this project, making it possible for any lover of the computer age to have a view of what it could have been for him if he would be living in the times that the particular equipment was in use.

It is important for us to know where we came from, and has the knowledge of what the past is, in order for humanity to focus more on what is ahead of us. Houston Computer Museum gives us this opportunity, making us focus more on the bright future of inventions that we need to embrace, in order to get a better tomorrow.
